The officers & members of the Holiday Park VFD are saddened today with the passing of Firefighter/Paramedic Fred Gerstacker, who was a friend & member of our department for many years.
One of Fred’s favorite activities with the department was interacting with local children during educational visits with his Dalmatian, Lou, at his side during Fire Prevention Month and Summerfest.
Fred was also keen on training and would often lead our CPR classes as well as specialized classes such as rope rescue.
We offer our condolences & prayers to his family as well we will greatly miss Fred.
