Congratulations to Firefighter Josh Roden and Junior Firefighter Nate McWilliams who completed their Module 4 Interior Firefighting this past Saturday, November 18th. Both started their training in August and completed all four Modules, ICS100, and 700, Hazardous Material Awareness, and Hazardous Material Operations straight through.

Nate is our first Junior Firefighter who took advantage of the new State laws that allow 17-year-old Junior Firefighters to complete Module 4, Interior Firefighter. Nate turns 18 in February and will receive his black shield becoming an interior firefighter.

Both of these young men go to school, and work and made the time to go to fire training.

Josh is currently enrolled in the Firefighter 1 Prep Class, which prepares recent Interior Firefighters for the national certification issued by the Pro Board. It is a comprehensive process with a written exam and practical skill stations.

Media Inquires and Public Information requests for the fire department will be handled by our Public Information Officer/Community Outreach Officer by emailing to info@holidayparkvfd.org
