Chief Jim Sims and Dr. Lee Milligan designed this class using their backgrounds in EMS, Riding, Rescue, and Accident Investigation/ Reconstruction specifically for riders.
Vitals skills covered included but not limited to:
– Scene Safety & Quick Assessment
– Bleeding Control
– Patient/Rider movement (out of danger zone)
– Helmet Access (when warranted)

– Spinal Stabilization
Each participant took home a tourniquet and starter first aid kit to kick-start a response bag on their motorcycles. The course included: Stop the Bleed Training as well as AHA First Aid.
The feedback shared at the end of class will be incorporated into future sessions.
