Tuesday evening thanks to the cooperation of Plum Borough Council & Borough Administration, Holiday Park VFD was able to host a multi fire department drill using the old borough building (slated for demo) to conduct numerous hands-on training. Firefighters from Holiday Park VFD, Renton Volunteer Fire Department, UNITY VFD, Logans Ferry Heights Volunteer Fire Department, and Oakmont Volunteer Fire Department responded to the invitation to Day 1 of two days of training. Plum EMS sent their Special Operations truck and Medic Unit to conduct Firefighter Rehab & Medical Reviews during the training.

Day 1 of training consisted of:
*Large Room Searches
*Forcible Door Entry
*Hose Line Advancement
*Emergency Wall Breaching
This was also a good opportunity for the various departments to train and learn to work better together.

Media Inquires and Public Information requests for the fire department will be handled by our Public Information Officer/Community Outreach Officer by emailing to info@holidayparkvfd.org
