Fire crews from Holiday Park VFD along with Unity VFD & Upper Burrell VFD #1 had their ATV’s and Brush units preparing the field at Larry Mills Park with wet grass before the fireworks show to prevent any brush fires. 236-Engine served as tanker to refill those units as they worked on their assignments.

While Plum Borough was forced to cancel the 4th of July Summerfest due to Governor Wolf’s recent social restrictions, the borough did proceed with hosting the annual fireworks show.  Residents and visitors while not allowed to be in the park for the fireworks were able to watch the show was various locations across the borough such as Our Lady of Joy, Amppify Church, and the school complex for Holiday Park Elementary & O’Block JRHS.

The crews up at Larry Mills Park were assisted offsite by additional units from those departments along with Plum Police & Plum EMS stood by around the neighborhoods near the park to help keep residents and spectators safe during the show.
