With COVID-19, our fire department did not hold its annual Banquet at the beginning of the year; but we still want to acknowledge the outstanding work of our volunteers from this past year. (𝘕𝘰𝘵𝘦: 𝘗𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘵.)
2nd Assistant Chief Josh Scalamogna was awarded the “Richard Borgoyne President’s Award” which is awarded to any member of the department, Active or Company status, who has gone above and beyond to assist the department in non-firefighting operational areas and overall general service. The department’s president in consultation with past president’s and executive officers of the department select the member each year and the award is named after long-time Past President & Life Member Richard “Rick” Borgoyne who passed away in 2016.
