With COVID-19, our fire department did not hold its annual Banquet at the beginning of the year; but we still want to acknowledge the outstanding work of our volunteers from this past year.
Firefighter Gary Sims was awarded the “Member of the Year Award”; which is presented to an Active or Company member of the fire department who in the opinion of the membership has gone above and beyond in service to the department in 2020. Gary received unanimous nominations & recommendations for this award.
He has personally overseen numerous construction & improvement projects within the building as well as apparatus upkeep. He is a “Life Member” with over 40 years of service with the department.
A common phrase heard in our department when something happens to the building… “Better Call Gary!”
