Holiday Park VFD will once again host an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course facilitated by CCAC’s Public Safety Institute. This will be the fourth time the fire department will have hosted the class and the past three classes resulted in numerous departments gaining excellent EMR’s for their response staff. This time it will be in accelerated format in terms of time as result of feedback from past classes and local agencies sending new students.
Course Info
This program provides training in emergency medical care designed for initial responders to an accident or medical emergency prior to ambulance arrival. Topics include airway care, CPR, AED, oxygen administration, control of bleeding and prevention of shock, and treatment of trauma and medical emergencies.
