Wednesday evening, local residents from Plum & surrounding communities took part in our Home Fire Safety class where adults and children took part in a robust program to make their homes safer. It is the third session of our National Preparedness Month educational series for 2021.
Program included:
– Evacuation planning
– Home safety review
– Fire extinguisher simulator
– Smoke trailer
– Holiday decorations warnings
– Child-safety
– and more!
Each household took home the following free items:
– Kitchen fire extinguisher
– Combination smoke/CO detector (courtesy of Renton VFD)
– Home fire safety planning kit
– Junior Firefighter helmets for kids
– and more!
