As part of our annual National Preparedness Month educational series, this evening we conducted a class for the entire family on Home Fire Safety. The class was part lecture and part hands-on. Chief Jim Sims covered topics ranging from prepping your house from electrical fires, evacuation tips, CO and natural gas monitoring and more!
Attendees were able to use a fire extinguisher for the first time on a live fire in a controlled environment, learn to escape from a smoke filled room, and more via our fire safety trailer.
