Holiday Park VFD welcomed the Westmoreland / Fayette / Allegheny County Animal Response Team to our station for a multi-department training on Pet Rescue skills such as CPR, Bleeding Control, Choking, First Aid, Seizures, and Post Fire Animal Clean-up. We appreciate all the team does across several counties including our own Allegheny County!
The team provide our fire department with four Pet Oxygen Mask Kits to aid us in animal rescue. These were donated by Murrysville Veterinary Associates & Western PA Police Recreation League. These kits make it possible for oxygen to be administered to animals in the event of emergency or post-fire. Now all of our emergency vehicles have an Kit onboard.
Holiday Park VFD’s Medical Officer, Alex Marcelewski, accepted the donated kits on behalf of the fire department as seen at the top of this article.
