Holiday Park VFD firefighters Aly Bryner and Andy Johnson represented not only our fire department but also the Borough of Plum on Saturday morning at the PNC Park 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. It is a way to honor and remember the nation’s fallen firefighters, police, and EMS who selflessly gave their lives. Each participant pays tribute to a firefighter by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories.
Participant’s individual tribute remembers the sacrifice of a fallen firefighter and those who we lost their lives due to illnesses related to fire service.Through firefighter and community participation we can ensure that line of duty fallen firefighters and those who lost their lives due to fire service related illesses are honored.
The funds raised will support The First Responder Center for Excellence, committed to promoting quality educational awareness and research to reduce physical, emotional, and psychological health and wellness issues for first responders.
