The officers & members of the Holiday Park VFD are proud to offer our congratulations to Firefighter Jeneul Roman & Firefighter Peyton Gibbs on passing their National Registry Examination for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification. They both will initially be issued an EMT certification from Ohio and then apply for reciprocity for Pennsylvania.
Both are members of our “Ohio Crew”; a group of three young Firefighters from Ohio who drive in on extended weekends to “bunk-in” & staff the fire station.
Jeneul came to us originally as a Cadet at Fire Camp two years ago; then as an staff member last year as well as joining our fire department officially. He already has his Firefighter 1 and Firefighter 2 certifications.
Peyton joined us last summer first on camp staff, then as a member. Peyton already has his Firefighter 1 and Firefighter 2 certifications.
Once they both obtain their Pennsylvania EMT certification, they will each spend time on completing some additional continuing education topics associated with the EMT Scope of Practice in Pennsylvania and go through our fire department’s preceptor program for new EMS providers.
