Mutual Aid and Joint Training are key elements of having the volunteer fire service be successful. Tuesday evening, 20 of our Firefighters joined firefighters from Washington Township VFC – Westmoreland & Export Volunteer Fire Department in their service area for a intense hands-on training session.
Evolutions were pre-planned between the departments; shout out to HPVFD Capt LaBertew and Washington Twsp’s Chief Leith & Lt. Roden for putting it all together.
Our three departments do operate together depending on the location and type of emergency call throughout the year. Holiday Park VFD responds monthly to calls in Westmoreland County; not just our home county of Allegheny and vice versa for Washington Twsp and Export VFDs.
