This week’s edition of our social media series where we answer your questions about our fire department and the fire service in general…. “𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙀 π™©π™π™š π™™π™žπ™›π™›π™šπ™§π™šπ™£π™© π™›π™žπ™§π™š 𝙩𝙧π™ͺπ™˜π™ π™¨ 𝙙𝙀”?

Depending on the nature of the emergency call, specific apparatus (vehicle) will be automatically dispatched followed by others on a “run card” (official order of apparatus assigned/requested). For example a motor vehicle accident would have 236-Rescue dispatched first while for an emergency medical call like a heart attack, 236-QRS would respond.

Over the years thanks to sound financial planning we have built up this fleet of emergency apparatus to support our operations & needs of today. Several apparatus were obtained through support of the borough and/or grants as well as general fundraising by our members.

The emergency fleet is maintained by our department’s team of “Engineers”; firefighters dedicated to keeping the apparatus in top performing shape; as well as via a preventative maintenance program supported by the borough via a local service vendor.

We have a list of questions already collected; but feel free to submit your questions via here on Facebook or email to info@holidayparkvfd.org

Media Inquires and Public Information requests for the fire department will be handled by our Public Information Officer/Community Outreach Officer by emailing to info@holidayparkvfd.org
