For night 3 of our program, participants were exposed to hose line operations ranging from hand lines & nozzle control, to “hitting the hydrant” to secure a water supply, to using “monitors” to conduct large water streams over distance and height.
Part of the night also focused on kitchen fires and each participant took home a kitchen extinguisher.
Next week, the class will turn to ladder operations from ground ladders to climbing our 105 ft main aerial on our ladder truck, optional.
