Wednesday evening was the first night of ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฐ ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ป’๐ ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐บ๐ program where adults can get a insiders view to the volunteer fire service, experience skills & training evolutions, and learn how departments like ours, impacts the local community.
The first night consisted a briefing on the current status of the volunteer fire service in PA, fire department operations, overall program expectations, and a Fire 101 session from Mike Krzeminski, instructor with the Allegheny County Fire Academy.
Next week they will outfitted with Firefighter Bunker Gear, SCBA, and shown how to conduct Search & Rescue inside a structure with smoke.
