Holiday Park VFD staffed the First Aid station at the annual Plum Soccer Kick-Off Classic this past weekend; keeping COVID-19 protocols in place for health and safety. The fire department has for several years had a close relationship with the Plum Soccer Association and has consistently provided emergency services such as EMS & Fire Protection to the three day event that traditionally draws in over 10,000 athletes & spectators.

Eight members of the department who are certified EMT’s along with 236-ATV and 236-UTILITY provided services each day from 7am to approx 10:30pm. Those members worked closely with the tournament physician, Dr, Eric Skvarla of Sky Sports Medicine, providing care to injured athletes, volunteers, staff, and spectators. Special attention was conducted in order to maintain COVID-19 safety measures and protection.

We appreciate the tournament staff of the donation of several crates of Turner’s Tea at the end of tournament that we will use for our members during drills and on the fire-ground for refreshments.

Media Inquires and Public Information requests for the fire department will be handled by our Public Information Officer/Community Outreach Officer by emailing to info@holidayparkvfd.org
