Wednesday evening at The Borough of Plum Council Meeting, Holiday Park VFD was presented with a proclamation of gratitude from Hudson County, NJ and the FD Relief Mission for their efforts to support a firefighters drive of vital equipment and apparatus for the people of Dominican Republic. Chief Jim Sims and Lt Daniel Giannettino represented the department in the photo.
Our crews utilizing 236-SQUAD & TRAILER assisted with transporting fire equipment donations from various localities to a donation site at Munhall station 5. The crews then assisted with filling a 40 foot shipping container to be sent to the Dominican Republic as a part of the Fire Department Relief Mission of Western PA.
In addition to the 40 foot container former Squad 221 and an ambulance will be sent to the fire departments in need in the Dominican Republic.
