236-Engine crew participated in Sawyer’s Army Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday night at the Holiday Park Methodist Church as a fundraiser for a local boy battling cancer. The crew passed out fire helmets and coloring books to the kids and provides engine tours to the event attendees.

Sawyer was recently diagnosed with a form of cancer (Langerhans cell histiocytosis) and has a long road ahead of him. We are personally reaching out to everyone because we feel the family should not be alone and need all the love and support they can get at this time.

Sawyer is looking at most likely a year of chemotherapy treatments and seeing different specific doctors to discuss treatments. We would like to come together as friends and family to show love and support all we can. Even if you have nothing to give we are sure your support prayers and love will mean alot to them, everyone is welcome.

If you would like to donate, please contact directly the staff at the Holiday Park Methodist Church.

Media Inquires and Public Information requests for the fire department will be handled by our Public Information Officer/Community Outreach Officer by emailing to info@holidayparkvfd.org
