2018 Fire Camp & Junior Fire Academy
Holiday Park Volunteer Fire Department hosted its first annual Fire Camp & Junior Fire Academy from June 18 – 22, 2018 for teens 14 through 17 years of age. Cadets were exposed to various aspects of Fire & EMS operations and career paths. The class was made of cadets, some who have some fire experience to those who wanted an insiders’ peak to the life.Instructors and staff hailed from our department, Renton VFD, Plum EMS, Monroeville VFD #5, Allegheny County Fire Academy, Allegheny County Fire Marshall’s Office, Allegheny Health Network, LifeFlight, Bucks County Fire Academy, and Lower Kiski Swift Water Rescue.Special Thank You to the Sampson Family YMCA for allowing us to use their pool for water-related classes!
