Back in February a Plum resident went into Cardiac Arrest at his home; thanks to team effort involving Allegheny County Emergency Services 911 dispatcher, his 16-year old son, Holiday Park VFD, and Plum EMS, his heart began to beat & began to breathe again after down for over 25 minutes.On April 8th, those responders met their patient, now recovered and thanking them for their assistance at a Plum Council Meeting & acknowledgment from The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association. His son was acknowledged for starting the CPR process and conducting compressions for over 10 minutes till emergency crews got onscene.Plum EMS offers a CPR class every month for the general public; the more people that know how to do it, the more lives that could potentially be saved!
