In honor of ๐ก๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ก๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฆ ๐ช๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ญ; Holiday Park VFD has replaced our standard white lighting with blue light bulbs in the lighting outside of our fire station apparatus bays to thank all those for work/volunteer in EMS and remember those lost in the line of duty for EMS.
May 16-22, 2021, is the 46th annual National Emergency Medical Services Week. In 1974, President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week to celebrate EMS practitioners and the important work they do in our nationโs communities. This yearโs theme is This Is EMS: Caring for Our Communities.
Throughout the year when a significant remembrance or event occurs, we will adjust our facility’s lighting to help honor the occasion. For example during in the fall we change the lights to red for Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters Week as well as for Fire Prevention Week in October.
