During the nice weather on Saturday morning; we held a EMS Extrication Refresher class in the outdoors and via small groups; keeping COVID-19 safety recommendations in mind. Our Firefighters who are Emergency Medical Techs and Emergency Medical Responders have a chance to catch up on new techniques for patient removal and assessment for traffic accidents.
We reviewed various basic and advance tools available on the apparatus. Emphasis on removing patients carefully to prevent further cervical injuries was a key focus.
