The officers & members of the Holiday Park VFD offer our congratulations on the major accomplishment of EMR Taylor Fusco (soon to be Dr. Taylor Fusco in a few weeks) on her official matching to residency at Penn State School of Family Medicine after her graduation in May from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Taylor started out her medical career as a Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), then headed off to medical school, and this past year has been in an intense internship at Rochester Regional Hospital in New York. During her time off periods, she would come back to Plum Borough and run QRS calls as well as assist on the medical team at our annual Fire Camp.
We are all proud of your hard work and dedication to helping those in need of medical assistance. Good luck in State College in a few weeks!
It should be noted that the Fusco Family are no strangers to the medical field with her sister, Brooke, as an accomplish local RN, and her father Gregg as a fellow EMR (as well as Assistant Fire Chief). Also her mother, Danielle, has been a medical technologist for over 30 years before changing careers recently. The entire Fusco family are members of our fire department, Gregg & Taylor on Active Status, and Danielle & Brooke as Special members lending their special skills to the department.
Taylor is a proud Alumni of Plum Borough School District’s Senior High School!
