Several firefighters from Holiday Park this morning joined “The FD Relief Mission of Western PA” to send vital firefighting equipment to the fire departments in Kentucky that were hit recently by devastating tornados. Fire departments from all across Western PA jumped in with donations of equipment, gear, and even an fire engine.
236-Utility & 236-Brush Trailer were part of the operations to collect the donations from across the area the past few weeks and then load it up today for its trip to Kentucky on a 53-foot tractor trailer.
“We have a good relationship with the Relief Mission team going back a few years with collections for the Dominican Republic and were only to happy to help again”, said Holiday Park VFD Lt Dan Giannettino.
