As we begin a new year, the fire department saw some updates in the leadership group as result of elections and appointments for various positions.
The Active members elect the Chief Officers who in turn appoint the line officers for the year. Per our bylaws we rotate the top two positions every other year in order to maintain continuity. This year, the Chief of the Department and the 2nd Assistant Fire Chief were up for election.

The Active & Company members elect the Executive or Administrative Offices for the year. Per our bylaws we rotate the top two positions every other year in order to maintain continuity. This year, the Vice President and the rest of the offices were up for election. The Executive Offices have no control or say over the operational side of the department including firefighting, EMS, or training.

In addition to these three Board Members at Large positions, there is representative from the Line Officers and representative from the Executive Offices that sit on the board.
