Our members are thankful for the return recently of 236-Rescue which had undergone upgrades/refurbishment for a few months. The process made improvements in its role as rescue with some enhancements such as a pinnable winch, upgraded lightning, additional compartments, and more! All along with a new paint job to match the rest of our fleet.
We appreciate the community whose patronage during our fundraisers helped achieve this.
236-Rescue not only carries mandated equipment for extrication/rescue ops but is also certified by the PA Dept of Health as an EMS response vehicle.
Some other enhancement/changes:
1) Trash line moved to officers side of pump, due to new pinnable winch system placed within new bumper
2) Quicker access to hard suction for our responses to Westmoreland County fire districts
3) Updated hose bed with a new area of rescue gear such as stokes basket, boards, etc.. along with a new cover
4) Quick grab water can holder on pump system
5) New cabinets within the cab for electronics, meters, extrication gear, etc..
6) Rotoray light fixture on front of cab for better traffic visibility
7) and more!
