IMPORTANT UPDATE
(May 2, 2020) Due to the on-going impact of the COVID-19 CoronaVirus and it’s anticipated lingering impact this summer, the fire department has decided to CANCEL this year’s session of our annual Fire Camp & Junior Fire Academy. Our #1 priority is for the welfare of our cadets (campers) and to be able to produce a top quality program for them. The CoronaVirus has placed a few barriers to achieve that this year. Our camp directors will be reaching out to all those who have already applied to arrange for refunds. Click Here for More Info
The Holiday Park Volunteer Fire Department each summer hosts a Fire Camp & Junior Fire Academy for youth 14 – 17 years of age who are interested in the Emergency Services fields whether as a career path or as volunteers. A cadre of instructors and staff from the areas of Fire, Emergency Medical Services, and Law Enforcement provide the campers, or as we like to call them, cadets, a glimpse into their worlds and sample what it’s like to be in them.
We will hold our third annual fire camp from June 15th to June 19th, 2020 with registration open starting February 5th. The format will be similar to past years but with a few new surprises and skills for the cadets to experience. Camp is limited to 24 Cadets so we recommend registering as early as possible.
Visit our Fire Camp & Junior Fire Academy section on our website for a look back at previous years via photos and videos so you can get a feel for our program and all the fun it contains… Click Here
