Today is ๐™€๐™ˆ๐™Ž ๐™Ž๐™–๐™›๐™š๐™ฉ๐™ฎ ๐˜ฟ๐™–๐™ฎ where we acknowledge that EMS providers are critical to public health and safety. They are also at high risk for injuries and exposures at work.

The public sees our EMS personnel dressed in specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on calls to help keep not only themselves safe but also their patient & the community. By wearing masks, eyewear, gloves, and sometimes gowns, we are helping to contain any possible health infection that may exist. Do not be afraid of this; its just us taking all possible preventive actions.

COVID-19 saw a new level of Safety risks and procedures created in the past 18 months which has help to contribute to lower numbers. EMS providers spend a good deal of time annually to refresh on safety training both for health and scene safety such as traffic incidents.
